Lois A. (Standing) Skinner died at Milton Hospital on Jan. 17.
Born in Waltham, she resided in Milton for 44 years. She was a graduate of Northeastern University and Suffolk University, and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from University of Massachusetts Boston.
Mrs. Skinner was the owner of Skinner Landscaping in Milton, former president of the Milton Animal League and a former director of the adoption agency Project Impact.
She is survived by her husband, David N. Skinner; her children, David N. Skinner Jr. and his wife, Laurie, of Canton, Andrew J. Skinner and his wife, Roberta, of Quincy, Randall J. Skinner and his wife, Lisa, of Abington, Michael J. Murphy and his wife, Megan, of Carver, Stephen Libby and his wife, Karen, of Weymouth, and James Lambus, of Quincy; her sisters, Barbara Stamm, of New Hampshire, and Carol Hanson, of South Carolina; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late James A. Skinner.
A funeral service was held in the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home on Jan. 21. Burial was in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. |
