M. Felice (Deveau) Regan died at Marina Bay, Quincy, on Jan. 5.
Born in Boston 89 years ago, her family later moved to Meteghan, Nova Scotia, where she was raised.
A graduate of Dorchester High School for Girls and Boston Clerical, she went to work in the engineering department at Lawley’s Shipyard at the beginning of World War II after her graduation. She became a commercial sales manager for Blue Cross Blue Shield until her marriage in 1945.
Mrs. Regan and her husband settled their young family in Milton where they resided for 49 years. An active and supportive citizen of the town, and an avid and expert knitter, she helped found the Knitters for the Needy group at the Council on Aging.
She was a 10-year volunteer coordinator for the services at the American Cancer Society.
Wife of the late Lt. Col. Daniel J. Regan (Ret. USMC), she is survived by her children, Felice E. Regan, of Somerville, Briant Regan and his wife, Mary, of California, Kevin Regan and his wife, Pat, and Dennis Regan and his wife, Diane, all of Maine, and Therese Regan-Benzinger and her husband, Bill, of Virginia; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Della Costello.
She was the sister of the late of M. Stella Barnes.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Jan. 9. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
