Mabel T. (Tatalias) Sullivan, of Hingham, formerly of Milton, died at home April 29 following a battle with cancer.
Mrs. Sullivan grew up in South Boston and lived in Milton for many years before settling in Hingham.
She worked as a maintenance administrator for New England Telephone Co. for 29 years, before retiring in 1991.
She enjoyed walking, traveling and summering on Nantucket with her family.
She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and St. Mary of the Hills Women’s Guild, and volunteered on the switchboard at Milton Hospital and Nantucket Cottage Hospital.
Wife of the late John P. Sullivan Sr., she is survived by her children, Patricia A. Sullivan-Evarts and her husband, Jasper M. Evarts, of South Dartmouth, John P. Sullivan Jr., of Weymouth, Jeffrey J. Sullivan and his wife, Lauren Healey-Sullivan, of Hingham, Kathryn M. Harrington, of Weymouth, and Robert J. Sullivan and his wife, Jane E. Tudgee-Sullivan, of Milton; her grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremiah and his wife, Jennifer Hanlon, Brenna, Patrick, Kaelyn, Luke, Timothy, Brian, Julia, Aiden and Pennie; her great-granddaughter, Ella Mae; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham, on May 6. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
