Born in Lynn, she was a 1947 graduate of Lynn Classical High School.

Mrs. Hurley resided in Milton for many years and raised her family in the town. She had lived in Quincy for 15 years.

A loving and supportive wife and mother, she was a former volunteer for Catholic Charities and a member of the Neighborhood Club of Quincy.

Wife of the late Robert J. Hurley, she is survived by her children, Brian R. Hurley and his wife, Linda, of Danville, N.H., Adrienne M. MacCarthy and her husband, John, of Cohasset, and Sean M. Hurley and his wife, Trish, of Hyde Park; her grandchildren, Eric, Sean, Ryan, April, Gregory, Kathleen and Bridget; her great-grandson, Jacy; and her sister, Dorothy Grief, of Hingham.

She was the sister of the late Eileen McMahon.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church on Sept. 30. Burial was private.
