Marion F. (Mahoney) Broadbent died Aug. 20 at Marian Manor Nursing Home in South Boston after a lengthy illness.
Born in Boston, she grew up in South Boston, graduated from Boston schools and lived in Wollaston for 48 years.
Wife of the late James E. Broadbent, she is survived by her children, Jean M. Thompson and James P. Broadbent, both of New Hampshire, and Robert J. Broadbent, Thomas F. Broadbent, Donald P. Broadbent and John S. Broadbent, all of Quincy; her brothers, Edward V. Mahoney, of Quincy, and Paul Mahoney, of Braintree, nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Sept. 1. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
