Martin Malloy, of Milton, died Jan. 30.
Mr. Malloy grew up in Lettermore, County Galway, Ireland. He lived in Dorchester before moving to Milton in 1974.
In 1991, he retired as a repairman from the MBTA after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Boston Carmen’s Union Local 589.
Husband of the late Mary (McDonough) Malloy, he is survived by his children, Ann Wilson and her husband, Bob Wilson, and Maureen Comerford and her husband, Robert, all of Quincy; three grandchildren, Nora Comerford, Vivian Wilson and Sophie Wilson; his siblings, Mary McGrath and Kathleen Folan, both of Ireland, Ann Sheehan, of England, Patrick Malloy and Nora Cosgrove, both of Quincy, Sean Malloy, of Ireland; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Bridie Irwin.
A life celebration service was held Feb. 9 in the Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. A funeral Mass followed in St. Elizabeth Church. Burial was in Milton Cemetery. |
