Mary E. Conway

Mary E. “Dolly” Conway, of Sharon, formerly of Milton, died Oct. 17.

Born in Boston and raised in Dorchester, she attended Dorchester High School.

Miss Conway worked in retail as an administrative assistant for 12 years in Boston, and 18 years in the A&P headquarters in New York. She retired in 1981.

She was active with the Buddy Dog Society, which is involved with pet adoption. An avid golfer at the Milton Hoosic Club, she was a member of the Charles River Country Club and the Longwood Cricket Club.

Daughter of the late Christopher and Mary E. (O’Brien) Conway, she is survived by her niece, Ann Conway, of Sharon; her nephew, Christopher Conway, of Ulster, Pa.; and her grandnephews, Benjamin C. Huggins and Lucas M. Huggins.

She was the sister of the late Dr. Christopher C. Conway.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Mary of the Hills Church on Oct. 21. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
