Mary E. Coveney died at her home Aug. 20.
Born in Boston, she lived in Braintree prior to her move to Milton 50 years ago.
A retired computer manager of Nynex Corp., Miss Coveney was a past president of the Pro Parvulis Club and a member of the Telephone Pioneers
of America.
Daughter of the late James E. Coveney and Mary E. (Scobie) Coveney, she is survived by her cousins, William A. Quinn and his wife, Dorothy, of Carver, and Eleanore Tupper, of Quincy; and a close friend, Thomas J. Sullivan, of Milton.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church on Aug. 31. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
