Mary E. (Myers) Stubbs, 87, of Milton, died at her home Oct. 9.
Born in Atlantic City, N.J., she graduated from the Southern Seminary College of Virginia and joined the Navy’s WAVES program during World War II.
Mrs. Stubbs resided in Milton since 1953 and was a librarian at Milton Academy for many years. She was a poll worker for the town and a longtime Milton Hospital volunteer.
Wife of the late Harry C. Stubbs, she is survived by her children, George C. Clement Stubbs, of Melrose, Richard Myers Stubbs, of Virginia, and Christine Hensel, of Ohio; her grandson, Jackson Clement Stubbs, of Melrose, and her brother, Jack Myers, of Pennsylvania.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. in St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 112 Randolph Ave. Burial was private.
Donations may be made to the St. Michael’s Episcopal Church Memorial Fund.
