Mary J. (Rizzo) McGrath, 87, a lifelong Milton resident, died Dec. 27 at Milton Hospital.
A graduate of Milton High School, she worked at Stedfast Rubber, Boston, for over 30 years. She later worked for the Milton Public School Department lunch program for over 10 years.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her other interests included knitting, cooking and crafts.
Mrs. McGrath will be missed by her family members, who are grateful to the Milton Hospital doctors, nurses and staff for their kindness and support.
Wife of the late John J. McGrath, she is survived by her children, Joanne Connolly and her husband, Michael, of Norwell, John J. McGrath and his wife, Susan, of Milton, and Judy McNulty, of Hyde Park; her grandchildren, David McNulty, Matthew McNulty, Jennifer Fallon, Keri Connor, Laura Moran, Christopher McGrath, Michael Connolly Jr. and Christine Souza; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Nina DiCarlo, Anna Richards, Jenny Arsenault and Eleanor Przybyszewski.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in
St. Pius X Church on Dec. 31. Burial was in
Milton Cemetery.
Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
