Mary M. Coakley, of Quincy, died Jan. 10.

Born in Boston, she was a longtime resident of Dorchester before moving to Quincy.

A retired employee of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority in Boston, she a former member of Local 589.

She is survived by her son, Ronald G. Ambroseno, of Florida; her siblings, John J. Coakley, of Milton, and Edward V. Coakley and his wife, Marilyn, of Duxbury; and her sister-in-law, Judith Coakley, of Duxbury. She was a friend of Bill W.

She was the sister of the late Timothy Coakley, Daniel Coakley, Cornelius Coakley and Joseph Coakley, and the sister-in-law of the late Annie Coakley.

A funeral Mass was held at St. Elizabeth Church on Jan. 14. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
