Maureen McCarrick

Maureen (Kelly) McCarrick, of Dorchester Lower Mills, died Jan. 11.
Mrs. McCarrick was a retired secretary of the Boston Public Schools, and past president of Boston College High School Mother’s Guild and St. Brendan’s Guild.
She will always be remembered as an exceptional woman who devoted her entire life to her family, her church, her friends and those in need of a compassionate heart.
Wife of the late James J. McCarrick, she is survived by her children, Peter McCarrick and his wife, Janet, of Hanover, Paul McCarrick and his wife, Jane, of East Dennis, Mary Schnelle and her husband, Jack, of Lynnfield, James McCarrick and his wife, Maureen, of Dorchester, John McCarrick and his wife, Roberta, of Bridgewater, Robert McCarrick and his wife, Jane, of Dorchester, and Nancy DiBurro, of Atkinson, N.H.; her grandchildren, Michelle McCarrick, Claire McCarrick, Christina McCarrick, Michael McCarrick, James McCarrick, Evan McCarrick, Jacqueline McCarrick, Nicholas McCarrick, Matthew McCarrick, John Schnelle and Steven Schnelle; and her siblings, Mary E. Walsh, of West Yarmouth, Sister Clare Kelly, SND, of Hanover, Paul L. Kelly, of Maine, Christina Carty, of Mansfield.
She was the mother-in-law of the late Ronald DiBurro, grandmother of the late Julie McCarrick, and sister of the late Bernard Kelly, James Kelly, John Kelly and Peter Kelly.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Gregory Church, Dorchester, on Jan. 15. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
