Max Kaiserman

Max “Maxie” Kaiserman, 97, of Kennebunk, Maine, formerly of Milton, died March 1.

Born in 1915 in Boston’s South End, he lived most of his married life in Milton.

Mr. Kaiserman ran the Copley Newsstand at the corner of Dartmouth and Boylston streets in Boston for more than 70 years. He loved his work and developed many loyal customers.

Husband of the late Irene (Rutskin) Kaiserman, he is survived by his daughters, Elaine Fink and her husband, Alan, of Saco, Maine, and Judith Klubben and her husband, Bill, of Gilford, N.H.; his nephew, David Norman; his grandchildren, Jeremy Fink and his wife, Kirsten Cyr, of Portland, Maine, Stephen Fink and his wife, Sarah Turbett, of Boston, Daniel Fink, of Bedford, N.H., and W. Spencer Klubben, of Gilford, N.H.; and his great-grandson, John Morrison Fink, of Portland, Maine.

Services were held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, Canton, on March 6. Burial was in Workmen’s Circle Cemetery, West Roxbury.
