Michael D. Nalepa, 53, died suddenly at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth on July 24.

Born and raised in Detroit, he was a graduate of Rutherford High School in Detroit.

Mr. Nalepa was a salesman for Rock Bottom Stone Outlet in Milford. He had worked for New York Carpet World for more than 20 years and also was a sales manager for Empire Carpet.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was passionate about music, and loved his Shih Tzu dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Susan M. (Trapilo) Nalepa; his mother, Dorothy (Jenkins) Bierbower, of Detroit; his siblings, Lisa Nalepa and Kevin Nalepa, both of Detroit, and Richard Trapilo; and his nephews and nieces, Michael Trapilo, Nicole Trapilo, Kristin Trapilo, Ricky Trapilo, Jordyn Trapilo, Devyn Trapilo and Ozzy-Dean Trapilo.

He was the son of the late Ronald Nalepa and brother of the late Sonny Trapilo, Bobby Trapilo and Stephen Trapilo.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church on July 28. Burial was in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston.
