Nancy J. (Bolles) O’Hara died in her daughter’s home in Wilton, N.H., on Sept. 23.

Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Milton High School. She lived in Milton until she retired and moved to New Hampshire in 1993.

Mrs. O’Hara, who worked in the town tax collector’s office for more than 10 years, was most proud of her 28 years of sobriety through her association with Alcoholics Anonymous.

She was the daughter of the late Arthur Bolles and Alberta Bolles.

Wife of the late John O’Hara and Lewis A. Whitaker, she is survived by her daughter, Lisa Cooley, of Wilton; her sister, Ellen Lambert, of Quincy, her uncle, Stanley Emberg, of Cotuit; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and her nephew, Joshua Bolles and his wife, Kristel, of Milton.

She was the sister of the late Robert Bolles and Raymond Bolles.

A funeral service was held in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home on Sept. 29. Burial was Sept. 30 in Milton Cemetery.
