Norma (Nahme) Shamaly died Oct. 20 at her home in Weymouth.
Born in Lebanon 69 years ago, she resided in Quincy for three years before moving to Weymouth where lived for the past 15 years.
Mrs. Shamaly was a cook at her mother’s business, Nadia’s Eastern Star Restaurant in Boston.
Wife of the late John F. Shamaly, she is survived by her children, Raymond C. Shamaly, of Martha’s Vineyard, and Georgianna R. Shamaly and Doreen N. Shamaly, both of Weymouth; her siblings, Sonia Phelps, of Colorado, Marie Williams, of Stoughton, Elias Nahme, of Martha’s Vineyard, George Nahme, of Worcester, and Robert Nahme of Dorchester, and her grandchildren, Mark Shamaly and William Shamaly Jr.
She was the mother of the late Mathew J. Stemmle, sister of the late Pennie Moody and Elham Caswell, and grandmother of the late Kristin Carriere.
A funeral service was held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home on Oct. 24. Burial was in the National Cemetery in Bourne on Oct. 25.
