Paul J. Bacci died at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center on Dec. 19.

Born in Boston, he was educated in the Boston schools and graduated from Roslindale High School. He resided in Milton for 45 years.

He was a Korean War veteran and a retired Boston Fire Department lieutenant. He retired in 1978 after 20 years of service.

Mr. Bacci was a member of the Boston Firemen’s Relief Fund and the Norwood Elks, and a former member of the Roslindale American Legion Post.

He loved to walk, play golf and dance.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Ward) Bacci; his children, Paula Rivera, of California, Sally Tapley and her husband, Jeff, of Medfield, John Bacci and his wife, Sharon, and Christina Saraf and her husband, Jack, all of Milton; his stepchildren, Deborah Bocchino and her husband, Robert, of Weymouth, Carol Nestler and her husband, Bernard, of Easton, David Foote and his wife, Michelle, of Weymouth, and Christopher Foote and his wife, Lisa, of East Bridgewater; his siblings, Dominic Bacci, of Roslindale, Thomas Bacci, of Medford, and Winifred Harn, of Norwood; 12 grandchildren; and nine step-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church on Dec. 23. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
