Philip E. Casey

Philip E. Casey died July 24 after a lengthy illness.
Born in Boston 81 years ago, he resided in Milton the rest of his life. He was a 1947 graduate of Boston College High School and a 1958 graduate of Northeastern University.
Mr. Casey retired in 1984 after 37 years as an account executive for New England Telephone & Telegraph Co.
He was a former Milton park commissioner; a former 4th Degree member of Council #2749, Knights of Columbus; a former Town Meeting member; a former member of the Conservation Commission; and a former altar server at St. Agatha Church.
He served in the Navy and was a Korean War veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. (Mac Varish) Casey; his children; P. Jeffrey Casey, of Maryland, Cynthia A. Casey, of Quincy, Susan E. Vittorini, of Pembroke, Kathleen M. DiMarco, of North Attleboro, and Elizabeth Prudente, of Duxbury; his sister, Eleanor Weed, of Quincy; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Kate, Liam, Keagan, Devin, Kristin, John, James, Victoria, Collin, Dylan and Ryan.
He was the brother of the late James N. Casey.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on July 28. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
