Rita Jean (Bracken) Bullington, 92, a retired clerk, died March 19 at Marian Manor, South Boston.
Born in Boston, she was raised in the Savin Hill section of Dorchester. Mrs. Bullington was a longtime resident of Dorchester.
She was a clerk for over 40 years at Liggett’s Drugstore, Washington Street, Boston and RexAll Drugstore, Boylston Street, Boston.
Mrs. Bullington was active with the Laboure Center, South Boston.
She was the daughter of the late John J. and Emma (Parker) Bracken. She is survived by her daughter,
Jean M. Crosby and her husband, Frank Crosby,
of Dorchester; her grandchildren, Deborah
Giampapa and her husband, John Giampapa,
Patricia Lopes and her husband, John Lopes, and Jacqueline Tyman and her husband, Steven Tyman; her five great-grandchildren; and many nieces
and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Brendan’s Church, Dorchester, March 24. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
