Robert H. Brandt

Robert H. Brandt, 83, of Quincy, formerly of Marshfield, died Oct. 7 at home after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Quincy, he was a graduate of Quincy High School and the New England School of Art.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was the CEO and president of S. Gunnar Myrbeck & Co., an advertising agency.
Mr. Brandt was a member of the Cyril P. Morrisette Post in Quincy, and of various art associations on the South Shore. He also was actively involved with civic and historical associations in Quincy.
Son of the late Frederick Brandt and Jenny Brandt, he is survived by his partner, Betty Georgaklis, of Quincy; his daughters, Tina Brumley, of Sweetser, Ind., and Gail Tarleton, of Charlottesville, Va.; his sister, Virginia Rogers, of Plymouth; and his grandchildren, Joshua Pierce, Connor Brumley, Leanne Tarleton and Kelsey Tarleton.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Oct. 12. Burial was in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
Donations may be made to the Fuller Art Museum, 455 Oak St., Brockton, MA 02301; or to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were by the Dolan Funeral Home.
