Roger Emmet Egan, 43, of Milton, died Oct. 21.
A lifelong Milton resident, he was a 1985 graduate of Milton High School.
Mr. Egan was a former employee of the U.S. Postal Service.
He was a fourth-degree knight of the Knights of Columbus, Dorchester Council #107; and a member of the Adult Congenital Heart Association of Children’s Hospital.
Friends and family remember him as a caring, gentle and kind man.
He is survived by his mother, Mary T. (Dwyer) Egan, of Milton, his sisters, Mary T. Egan, of Norwell, Noreen P. Egan, of Dorchester, Kathleen A. Egan, of Milton, and Loraine A. Vaughan and her husband, James, of Dover; his nieces and nephews, Kevin Cyr, Lily Cyr, Daisy Magner, Aidan Coyne, Jennifer Vaughan, Michael Vaughan, Patrick Vaughan and Sarah Vaughan; and his cousins, the O’Connor, Gaine, Murray and Dwyer families.
He was the son of the late Roger J. Egan.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Oct. 25. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
