Rose M. (Mulrey) Gannon, 97, died at Mary Ann Morse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Natick, on Jan. 21.
Born in Cambridge, she grew up in Jamaica Plain and lived in Brighton prior to living in Millis for more than 15 years.
Mrs. Gannon was a retired employee of the Boston School Department at the Mary Curley School, Jamaica Plain, the William Howard Taft School, Brighton, and Brighton High School.
Wife of the late Timothy M. Gannon, she is survived by her children, Timothy M. Gannon, of Millis, Martin D. Gannon, of Hopedale, William R. Gannon and his wife, Rosalie, of Milton, Rose M. Pitner and her husband, Dennis, of Millis, Michael L. Gannon and his wife, Nancy, of Hopedale, and Kevin F. Gannon, of Millis; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Mary Aston, Margaret Fothergill and Kathleen Cheesman.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Mary of the Hills Church on Jan. 25. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
