Sister Anna Mary Kelly, CSJ (Sister Tarcisius), a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston for 79 years, died April 18.
She was formerly missioned as a teacher at Cathedral High School, Boston, and St. Columbkille High School, Brighton. She was dean of the college of St. Joseph, Framingham, and taught at Regis College, Weston. At Regis, she also served as director of the office of continuing education and established and directed the Regis College Spanish Institute.
She served on the leadership team as vice president and as president of the Sisters of St. Joseph, where she ministered for many years as director and grant writer for the development office. In recent years, she served as a resource person for the history and spirit of the congregation.
Daughter of the late Thomas and Delia (Lennon) Kelly and sister of the late Thomas Kelly and Mary Garvey, she is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A vigil and funeral Mass were held at St. Joseph Chapel, Fontbonne Convent, on April 22. Prayers were held at the convent on April 23. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
