Susan A. Chiarello died at Marina Bay Skilled Nursing Center on Dec. 7 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Boston, she was a lifelong Dorchester resident.

Miss Chiarello was a retired claims agent of Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.

Daughter of the late Acursio Chiarello and Maria (Venezia) Chiarello, she is survived by many cousins who fondly called her “Auntie.”

A funeral service was held in the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home on Dec. 10. Burial was in St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.
