Teresa A. (Parr) Bowes died June 27 at New England Sinai Hospital, Stoughton, after a lengthy illness.
Born, raised and educated in Mattapan, she resided in Hyde Park prior to her move to Milton 10 years ago.
A retired executive secretary of John Hancock Insurance, Boston, and Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, Milton, she was a longtime volunteer and former CCD Teacher at St. Angela Church, Mattapan.
Wife of the late Paul H. Bowes, she is survived by her brother and sister, Edward M. Parr, of Milton, and Phyllis Lappas, of Reading; her dear friend, Alfred D. Thomas; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was the sister of the late Jessie M. St. Clair, Clyde Francis, Francis C. Parr, Thomas P. Parr and Donald Parr.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Agatha Church on July 1. Burial was in New Calvary Cemetery, Mattapan.
