Thomas P. Walsh, 81, of Milton, died at Marina Bay Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Quincy, on Oct. 23.
Born in South Boston, Mr. Walsh graduated from South Boston High School. He entered the Army at the age of 18 and later graduated from Northeastern University.
Mr. Walsh began working for the accounting department at Gillette Safety Razor Corp. in 1946. He retired from Gillette in 1987 as the assistant director of international finance.
He was a member of the Cunningham Couples Bowling League and enjoyed playing pingpong and softball, and dancing.
Mr. Walsh also was a member of the board of directors for the South Boston Community Health Center.
He is survived by his wife, Joan B. (Higgins) Walsh; his children, Brian P. Walsh and his wife, Janice Pender, of West Roxbury, Robert E. Walsh and his wife, Kathleen, of Milton, and Susan D. Walsh, of Texas; and his grandchildren, Sara Walsh and Conor Walsh.
He was the brother of the late John J. Walsh.
