Virginia (Coleman) Kennedy, 95, a retired employee of the town of Milton, died Sept. 11 at her home in Milton after a period of failing health.
Born in Boston and raised in Dorchester, she was a graduate of The High School of Practical Arts.
She was a longtime employee for the town in
the School Department, Milton Cemetery and
Office of the Town Accountant and as a receptionist at Town Hall.
Wife of the late Harold J. Kennedy, she is survived by her children, Jeanne Kennedy, of Milton, and Janet Farrington and her husband, Michael, of Mattapoisett; her grandchildren, Alexandra Cerilli and her husband, Stephen, of Newport, R.I., and Anthony Farrington, Ashley Farrington and Andrea Farrington, all of Boston; and her sisters, Lorraine Coleman, of Milton, and Stephanie Novell, of Woodstock, Ga.
She was the sister of the late Joseph Coleman.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in
St. Agatha Church on Sept. 15. Burial was in
Milton Cemetery.
