Virginia Galbraith Suzedell, 92, of Milton, died Sept. 22.

Mrs. Suzedell was the daughter of Roy M. Galbraith and Elizabeth Gregg Galbraith of Smithfield, Ohio. She was a 1937 graduate of Quincy High School and a 1941 graduate of the Quincy Hospital School of Nursing.

During World War II, she was a registered-nurse night supervisor at Quincy City Hospital.

For many years, she served as bookkeeper and manager of her husband’s medical practice, and participated in volunteer tax preparation in local programs for the elderly.

Gardening was one of her lifelong passions.

Wife of 56 years of the late Dr. Eugene Suzedell, she is survived by her children, Eugene G. Suzedell and his wife, Bernadette, of Cohasset, Gail Saxton and her husband, Cliff, of St. Louis, and the Rev. Ann G. Suzedell, of Milton; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Suzedell, Joseph Suzedell and Emma Suzedell, all of Cohasset, and Laura Heiman, of Northfield, Minn.; two great-grandchildren; her sister, Nancy Gough, of Truckee, Calif.; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held in Quincy Point Congregational United Church of Christ, Quincy, on Sept. 27.
