Walter Eben Lynch died June 16.

Born, raised and educated in Brockton, he lived in Roslindale for many years before retiring to South Dennis 12 years ago. He had resided in Quincy for the past two years.

He was a retired automobile mechanic and a custodian of the Boston schools.

Mr. Lynch was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. (Groarke) Lynch; his children, Lynda Lynch, of Quincy, Mary E. Goss, of Norwood, and Brian E. Lynch, of Dedham; and his grandchildren, Jillian, Jennifer, Kevin, Brianna, Makayla, Kristina and Braylin.

He was the grandfather of the late Shayla and brother of the late Ray Lynch, Frederick Lynch and Francis Lynch.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Ann Church, Wollaston, on June 21. Burial was in the National Cemetery, Bourne.
