Willard F. Dunlap

Willard F. Dunlap, of Milton, died Sept. 30.

Mr. Dunlap was a veteran of World War II, serving on the battleship Missouri, and was present at the signing of the Japanese surrender in Tokyo Bay at the end of the war.

He was a world traveler and a member of the USS Missouri Association.

A lifelong resident of Milton, he served as a Town Meeting member for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Bell) Dunlap; and his brothers-in-law, Arthur Bell, of Marshfield, John Bell, of Millis, and Richard Bell, of Mendon.

A funeral service was held in East Congregational Church on Oct. 4. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
