William H. “Bill” White died at home Dec. 5.
A lifelong Milton resident, he graduated from Milton High School, and attended Northeastern University and Wayne State University.
Mr. White served on the Board of Selectmen for 18 years and was a lifelong member of the Democratic Party.
He owned Bill White Chevrolet, Canton, for many years and was past president of the Milton Merchants.
He is survived by his wife, Claire M. (O’Donnell) White; his children, Patricia A. White, Elizabeth R. White, Judith M. White-Orlando, Nancy White Street, Jacqueline White Morgan and William H. White Jr., all of Milton; his sons-in-law, Walter White, Bob Orlando, Oz Street and Thomas Morgan; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer White; and his grandchildren, Joseph White, Jacqueline White, Mark White, Daniel White, Andrea Orlando, Robert Orlando, Ozzie Street, Claire Street, Patrick Morgan, Christopher Morgan, Caroline Morgan, Brendan White and Madeleine White.
He was the brother of the late Jack White.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Mary
of the Hills Church on Dec. 10. Burial was in
Milton Cemetery.
