William L. Pistorino

William L. Pistorino, 98, died at Plymouth Crossings, Plymouth, on July 3.
Born in Boston, he grew up in South Boston and had resided in Milton for 43 years.
A retired cabinetmaker for the Kaplan Furniture Co., he was also a former employee of University Hospital, Boston, and a former member of the Milton Council on Aging, the Cunningham Bowling League and the Milton senior bowling league.
An avid sailor, Mr. Pistorino was an 81-year life member of the South Boston Yacht Club.
During World War II, he served with the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Husband of the late Marjorie (Thorner) Pistorino, he is survived by his children, Jerry P. Collins and her husband, Bill, of Sandwich, and Jean Malaquias and her husband, Ron, of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Bill Collins and his wife, Audrey, Tim Collins and his wife, Sara, Matt Collins and his wife, Gina, Rob Coggins, Doug Coggins and his wife, Stephanie, and Lynne Morgan and her husband, Joel; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was the father of the late Carol A. Pistorino and brother of the late Anna Gerah, Mary Flynn Pistorino, Josephine Pistorino, Frances Pistorino, Leo Pistorino, Joseph Pistorino, Charles Pistorino and John Pistorino.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church on July 7.
Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
