Winifred Joyce |
Winifred (Flaherty) Joyce, of Milton, died at Alliance Health Care in Braintree on Sept. 13. Mrs. Joyce was born in Ardmore, County Galway, Ireland. She is survived by her husband, Colman M. Joyce; her children, Barbara M. Carney, of Milton, and Ann “Nancy” K. Harrington and her husband, Frank, of Westwood; her sisters, Ellen McDermott, of Florida, and Nora Monoghan, of Ireland; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Nicosia and her husband, Tim, John Carney, Michael Carney and Victoria Harrington; and a great-grandson, Joseph Nicosia. She was the sister of the late Martin Flaherty, Michael Flaherty, McDara Flaherty, Kathleen Flaherty, Margaret Flaherty, Patrick Flaherty, Barbara Flaherty, Joseph Flaherty, Mary Foley, Della Conley and Anne McCarthy. A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha Church on Sept. 18. Donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Research Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472. Arrangements were by the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home. |
