Peter Racicot Earns Maria Droste Award

Peter Racicot, senior vice president of Fallon Ambulance, was among the recipients of the annual Maria Droste Award, held Nov. 4 at the River Bay Club in Quincy.

Racicot serves on several local boards, which include the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, South Shore YMCA and the Quincy Rotary. He has also participated in the Pan Mass Challenge.

Racicot commented how honored he is to be recognized by the Maria Droste Agency. He also stated he very much enjoys having an opportunity to give back and to be involved in the community.

Personally he strongly believes that all individuals should be involved in giving back to their communities through hands-on effort and support wherever and whenever they see a need.

The Maria Droste Award is given annually to those who epitomize the “family principles” that the Good Shepherd, Maria Droste Agency hold in such high esteem. People who are devoted to a strong family concept and who lead by example as evidenced by their commitment to their individual families as well as to their community have been honored by the agency.

Also presented with the award at the event was Josephine Vidal, a Quincy resident who has worked for several years as the chairperson of the Maria Droste’s development committee.
