At the recent Cabaret for Care to benefit The Boston Home, Fallon Ambulance Service, in memory of Ray Fallon, was honored with the home’s Excellence in Care Award. The Boston Home is a not-for-profit residence and care center for adults with advanced multiple sclerosis and other progressive neurological diseases.
Fallon Ambulance has been providing residents of The Boston Home with reliable and exemplary medical transportation services for decades.
Milton resident Jack Shaughnessy served as co-chair of the event. He is a philanthropist and long-time friend of The Boston Home.
Representing the Fallon family, Ray Fallon’s wife Carol Fallon and his son and Fallon Ambulance Service CEO Tim Fallon, both of Milton, accepted the award.
Also in attendance was The Boston Home’s Medical Director Dr. James Mahoney, of Milton.
Rep. Linda Dorcena Forry also was recognized for her support.
The gala, which attracted hundreds of attendees, including Honorary Co-Chair and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, took place at the University of Massachusetts-Boston, raising funds to support The Boston Home’s wellness and education center for the outpatient program B.Fit!. Funds will also go toward training programs for staff, student nurses, and for national conferences offered at the facility for healthcare professionals. |
