Garden Club Plants
Anniversary Bulbs

11/17/11
The Milton Garden Club recently planted 350 bulbs at the Milton Public Library that will be ready to bloom in April and May.

The planting was done to celebrate Milton’s upcoming 350th anniversary.

The bulbs are a gift from Garden Club members. Two Alberta Spruce trees were donated by the Thomas & Sons nursery. The Department of Public Works cleared the sod. The planting was assisted by J.T. Rusnock, who used his pick-ax to dig and loosen the soil.

The red, orange and yellow tulips and daffodils are planted in a semicircle around the library’s granite sign.

Visit www.townofmilton.org for more information about the 350th anniversary celebration and memorabilia for sale.
