Marks Fifth Anniversary

Learning Circle Preschool recently celebrated its fifth year in operation with a party organized by Milton parent Maureen Driscoll and Canton parent Kelly McDonough.

Parent volunteers helped the children prepare a favorite recipe from the school’s Early Sprouts curriculum for snacks, and organized activities and presentations for teachers.

As a surprise for teachers, each family helped children contribute a paper leaf on which the children described things they like about their teachers and the school. The leaves were organized into a gift tree for each classroom.

“The Learning Circle is turning 5 years old this year,” Driscoll and McDonough said in a joint statement. “We can’t believe how many wonderful things have happened in such a short time. So many lives have been touched because of the Learning Circle, and all the hard work the staff and parents have done. Every time our children are able to identify a red-tail hawk, or when we hear a child trying a new recipe say, ‘I don’t like it yet’ (instead of refusing to taste it) or ‘I think you are having a feeling,’ we are shown the wonderful things going on in the classrooms. The skills that are being taught here are so unique and we are so fortunate to be a part of it.”

Learning Circle Preschool, accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, offers two-, three- or five-day programs for children age 2.9 or older.
