In what has become an annual ritual, friends and family gathered recently to honor the memory of Marc A. Susi at Presidents Golf Course in Quincy.

The 19th annual Susi Golf Tournament on July 30 saw a full field of golfers who took part in a friendly competition to contend for the coveted Susi Cup.

Many of those participating were friends of Susi, the Milton High School student who died in an accident in 1992. But some golfers never had the privilege of personally knowing the popular Wildcat hockey team goalie, and turned out to pay tribute to his devoted family.

Susi’s mother Fran McKinnon and her husband Tom once again organized a successful event, raising funds that will benefit many local organizations, including scholarships for Milton High School graduating seniors.

This year’s Susi Cup champions were Quincy residents Bob Meehan, Jack Moran and Elizabeth Dugan Moran, and Weymouth resident Mike O’Neill.
