The Unquity House will host a free concert of with flutist Susan Conant and pianist Emma Jean Moulton on Sunday, March 9, 4 p.m., at the House, 30 Curtis Rd.

The concert, open to the public, will feature “Celtic, Classical and a Touch of the Blues” that showcases Conant’s roots of folk, jazz, blues and Celtic music.

Conant writes and performs music learned during childhood summers at Pinewoods Camp in Plymouth and her classical studies at the New England Conservatory, as well as the jazz and blues of American culture. The concert blends Celtic melody with classical and jazz harmony played on flutes from Conant’s collection of classical and folk instruments.  Conant, who lives in Charleston, S.C., has recorded two discs, “Lowcountry Sojourn” and “A New Leaf”.

Moulton is the long-time organist and music director at  First Parish Church. A respected teacher, she maintains a busy private studio, has taught at many area schools and is former artistic director and founder of Milton’s Young Musician’s Festival.
