Interfaith service June 25 for Charleston, S.C., shooting

| June 23, 2015

Milton, MA – In light of the recent shooting at the Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church of Charleston, S.C., the Milton Interfaith Clergy Association invites Milton residents as well as those of surrounding communities to join in an interfaith service of prayer, memory and hope, tonight, Thursday, June 25. The service will be held at the First Congregational Church in Milton, 495 Canton Ave., beginning at 7 p.m., and will last approximately one hour.

“In the midst of the chaos that surrounds us, and seems to increase daily, we will offer song, prayer, reflection and dedication to a shared vision of our common siblinghood, and to the possibility for renewal,” wrote Rev. Hall Kirkham of St. Michael’s Parish in an email to the Times.
