Learn some of the most basic concepts in painting and drawing in spring classes offered by Beth Neville. Five classes, beginning May 7 and going through June 4, will meet on Tuesdays in the Neville studio from noon to 2 p.m. or 7 to 9 p.m.

The five topics are “How to Paint Trees,” “How to Paint Clouds,” ”1 and 2-Point Perspective,” “How to Make Shadows,” and “How to Paint or Draw a Person.” Students may use any media: watercolor, oil, pastel, or drawing tools.

The fee is $75 and students provide their own supplies. To register, email Neville at eeneville5@gmail.com or call 617-698-6112.

Neville, who holds art degrees from Smith College and the Harvard Graduate School of Education, is the former director of the Milton Art Museum, now located at Massasoit Community College.
