Kiwanis event

Celebrate America’s 243rd birthday on Thursday, July 4 at Kelly Field. Starting at 9 a.m., this decades-long tradition continues at the field, located on Brook Road, across from Standish Road. In 1933, a local newspaper reported of games and races at Brook Road Field.

The Pledge of Allegiance will be said and the national anthem “Star-Spangled Banner” sung.

Kids ages 2 to 12 are invited to take part in face painting, running in races, climbing on an antique fire engine and enjoying a Hoodsies ice cream cup.

This program is hosted by the Milton Kiwanis and the town of Milton
