A Memory Cafe is set for Thursday, April 18 at 1 p.m. at the Senior Center at 10 Walnut St. Memory Cafés are specialized cafés that provide an opportunity for persons diagnosed with early stage memory loss and their care partner(s) and family to engage with peers in a relaxed and unstructured environment. The café atmosphere is designed to promote nonjudgmental social engagement and interaction. The café and activity are sponsored by Standish Village.

Alzheimer’s is a difficult diagnosis, but there is hope and strength from groups such as Memory Cafés and the Caregiver Support Group.
