Memory Café continues at the Milton Council on Aging (COA) on Thursday, May 18 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Memory Cafés are specialized cafés that provide an opportunity for persons diagnosed with early stage memory loss and their care partner(s)/family to engage with peers in a relaxed and unstructured environment.

The café atmosphere promotes social engagement and interaction with other people who are also dealing with issues surrounding cognitive impairment in a nonjudgmental atmosphere.

During May’s café, Anne Ku, who teaches folks how to play the ukulele, will be present and bring along ukuleles for everyone. She has been featured on Channel 5’s “Chronicle” as well as in this newspaper, and is being sponsored by Standish Village.

Call the COA at 617-898-4893 to attend.
