As the town gets ready to plant dozens of new trees along busy streets and byways this fall, another group is working to generate donations from businesses and individuals to make Milton  even greener.

The 360 Tree Initiative has already raised $15,000 in a mailing to community leaders that will go toward the goal of planting 360 new street trees in Milton.

That goal was set for 2022 when the Shade Tree Advisory Committee (STAC) decided it wanted to help the town celebrate its 360th anniversary, according to John David Corey, co-chair of the 360 Tree Initiative.
