On exhibit

From the exhibit in the Wotiz gallery at the Milton Library.

The Wotiz Gallery is sharing the work of Milton resident and photographer Donna Parker. Her exhibition, entitled “Coastal New England,” will be on display until April 30.

It has been a while since Parker held an Eastman Kodak device in her hands, but she recalls it fondly.  The Brownie camera was invented by Frank A. Brownell, who designed cameras for George Eastman.

In 1898, Eastman requested that Brownell create an inexpensive and dependable box camera. Picture taking was emerging.
