The Department of Public Works reported a water main break at Magnolia Street and Taylor Road this morning.

In an announcement on the town website, issued at 9 a.m., DPW officials said they are working to isolate and repair the break and minimize the impacted area.

“We are currently working to isolate and repair the leak and minimize the impacted area,” the alert read. “Homes in the vicinity of Taylor Road and Magnolia Street will likely experience water service disruption for a short time period this morning.

“There will be periods of lower than normal water pressure and rusty water. Please be patient we are responding to this emergency.”

DPW officials said anyone with questions may contact their offices at 617-898-4900 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
