One of the state's worst intersections is in Milton

The intersection of Randolph Avenue and Chickatawbut Road is considered by local and state officials to be one of the region's most dangerous. 

A public forum about improvements to be made to the intersection of Randolph Avenue and Chickatawbut Road is set for Tuesday, July 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Milton Council on Aging, 10 Walnut St. Officials from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Highway Division will lead the meeting, with town and state leaders present. The intersection is deemed one of the worst in the state by local officials.

“The project will involve reconstructing the intersection to address safety deficiencies and improve traffic flow.

Construction is expected to begin in spring 2021 and be completed by 2023.

The cost is currently estimated to be approximately $5 million,” MassDOT spokesman Patrick Marvin said.
