It had been a mythical season to that point. Walking through a predominantly Division 1 Bay State Conference (one of the best conferences in the state at that) and ripping past Greater New Bedford, Bishop Feehan and Plymouth South en route to their first South Sectional final since 1974. The stars seemed to be aligning, as Milton had a chance to gain some revenge against Hopkinton, the reigning (2019) Division 2 South Sectional champions and the team that eliminated the Wildcats in the first round of that year’s tournament. 

But the magic would run out.
