Four years ago, my best friend Michael died from cancer. To this day, I still think about him and what he would be doing today if he were here. 

When he was diagnosed with cancer, I barely knew what cancer was. I did not know what to do to help him or talk to him. 

I was very scared, and I thought of him as a different person even though he was exactly the same.
